    Scenario 1

    One Application Software installed on the Desktop computer ,where OS as WIN 7 Professional(32 bit ) installed & MS Sql 2005 Std version as Database for Application Software(Access Control ) .Both OS and SQL Servers are configured with one Users and password only . The Application Software need only one CAL of SQL Server to communication each other.

    Now  I need to configure 2000 number of User profiles with figure print data under Application software (Not on WIN 7 or SQL Servers). None of the clients are joined as Domain client to these WINDOWS /Application Server. Figure print Readers will  access data via Application client software to Application Server ONLY.

    Now my question is that

    1. How many no of licenses I need to purchase for MS Sql Server One Application Software installed on the Desktop computer ,where OS as WINDOWNS 2008 Stb with 5 CAL installed & MS Sql 2008 Std version with 5 CAL as Database for Application Software(Documentation Control Software ) .Both OS and SQL Servers are configured with one Users and password only . The Application Software need only two CAL of SQL Server to communication each other.

    Scenario 2

    Now  I need to configure 200 number of User profiles  under Application software (Not on WINDOWS 2008 Std or SQL Servers). None of the clients are joined as Domain client to these WINDOWS /Application Server. Clients will access data via Application client software to Application Server ONLY.

    Now my question is that

    1. How many no of CAL licenses of WINDOWS 2008 need to be purchased for this purpose .
    2. How many no of CAL licenses of MS SQL 2008  need to be purchased for this purpose .

    Important point is that  ,if the application Software Service are not running on Server and Physically the Server OS and SQL Server are UP , Clients will still not able to get any information from server .

    All Cleints are joined as Cleint machine of Linux PDC Server.
