Move SharePoint Top Navigation Flyout Menu to Left Hand side of the portal

Question

Hi,

We are designing a SharePoint 2010 portal. We would like to move the SharePoint Top navigational menu to the left hand side (replace the Quick Launch) in vertical manner. By setting the orientation we are able to see the vertical menu.

We are creating custom master page and page layouts. The page layouts contains several web part zones and we are going to add several custom web parts.

We were unable to move the Top Navigational menu to the left hand side.

How can i move the Top Navigation ASP Menu to the left hand side of the portal?
