Terminate a workflow when an item is changed

Question

Hi,

I have a custom approval workflow which runs when an item is added. I would like to terminate the running workflow if the item is changed. Please let me know how  I can achieve this in sharepoint designer.

Hi teen_all,

We need to add a Set Workflow Variable action above the Start Approval Process action, and set Variable: CancelonChange to Yes, then the approval workflow will stop automatically when item is changed. And this variable only works for Start Approval Process action.
