Scientific baseline article on Rx?

Question

Is there any scientific article on Rx, i.e., something that would be acceptable as academic research?

I'm asking because I utilized the ideas and concepts of Rx in an industrial project related to my own PhD, and I don't want to re-explain everything but just point to the existing article(s) on the topic.

Rx is based upon the continuation monad and functional reactive programming. A quick search landed these:
