I have one group of 3 users .

and I want to set the permissions for that group.

and I want that they can open/Read/Write their own project in which they are owner.

    and can create new project.

and can see other projects in Read Only mode.

because i am not using RBS.

and selected specific projects in their category.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now at this time they can open/Read/Write/NO publish rights/Create new projects . but in all their selected projects of their category.

Assuming you have not already changed any of the default permissions for the Project Managers group, or the My Organization and My Projects categories, refer to the following FAQ:

    Hope this helps.

I use this FAQ and remove the pemission "Save project to project server" from my group of project

    manager.

but the project manager can create new project and save . and read other project but next time they open their project and want to modify and save again . the project server deny them to save it again after modification and say it is read only.

I want they can read and write with no publish rights of their own project.

these are the projects and category settings.

Please re-read the FAQ.  Nowhere does it say for you to do what you just did, which was deselecting the Save Project to Project Server permission.  You need to enable that permission again, and then follow the directions in the FAQ.

Also, in the screenshot you provided, you failed to mention which security Category is displayed.  So, I have no idea what you are trying to do.  Let us know and we will try to help you.

The security category which snapshot send is custom category which I made.

and group is also a custom which I made.

    for e.g : PM

and assign that group to this category.

    for e.g : PMCategory

Although this group have different permissions to different categories.

But I want the users of this PM Group have permissions in PM Category of

"Read-Write their own projects(with no publish rights),and create new project ."

Own projects means the projects in which the group users are owner.

    Issue :

The Users of PM Group are working like this according to this permissions. but they are also can open the other projects in "Read/Write" mode in which they are not owner.

They need to open "Read Only" other projects in which they are not owner.

Snapshot which have a permission of  this category.

You do not need to use a custom Group and Category for your security needs.  In fact, you cannot meet your security requirements with a single Group and Category.  If you use the default Project Managers group and then follow the directions in the FAQ to which I directed you, would would solve your problem very simply.  I think you are making the security model too difficult trying to use a custom Group and Category.  Hope this helps.
