Subreport in Form

I'm currently working on a form that shows information in a subreport, just to explain, the reason I'm using a subreport is it is vital that I have the 'can grow' feature so that text boxs can expand as needed.
The tricky part of this is that I need to be able to refresh the data to update any changes, but 'refresh record' and 'refresh' refuse to work stating 'command not available' due to reports being 'read-only'. The only thing that works is 'requery' but that throws the scroll bar back to the top of the list, which I don't want it to do.
I've found mention of a solution to this for forms but not reports or subreports.
I'm currently working on a form that shows information in a subreport, just to explain, the reason I'm using a subreport is that I need the 'can grow' feature so that text boxs can expand as needed for various text in the records.
Other then switching to a form and working around the 'non-expanding text box' thing, does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Avan,
The post has duplicate text, would you please reformat it?
As to this query, if you can share a sample database, or describe detail steps, I can better understand, and get to the problem faster. Skydrive is ideal place to share files.

Hi Forrest
Sorry, I had some trouble when I originally posted that, all the text appeared in one huge block and I didn't noticed the duplicate text when I edited it.
As for this problem I couldn't figure out a method of getting it to work exactly how I need it to, so I decided to go with a subform rather then subreport, that way I can get the records to refresh nicely.
Although this goes against the need for having the fields expand with the text, I added a button that opens a form (disguised as a message window) showing the full text.
Not how I wanted to do it, but it does the job well enough. This is a good example of sometimes having to compromise on original design ideas.
Thanks for taking the time to reply though.

Never mind, Avan. There has been a few threads get messed up and difficult to read. I have reported the problem, hopefully the editor gets more stable.
It's nice to know that you work around the problem and sharing with community.
thanks and regards,
