Access 2010 Trial

Question

I want to install the trial version of Access 2010 to look at some files with 2010 version specific features that a friend had sent to me. 

I have the 2007 version of Access and am wondering the following:

1. Can I install the 2010 trial simultaneously with 2007 installed, since I don't plan to upgrade to 2010 anytime soon?

and

2. If I do need to uninstall Access 2007 to run the 2010 trial, is there any way I can find my key for Access 2007?  I've since lost the paper with the code.

You can run (nearly all applications of) O2010 beside O2007, but there

are some issues. I'd not recommend it.

One exception is Outlook, that doesn't allow side-by-side installation

with older versions, so your Outlook would be upgraded.

 

If you don't intend to upgrade O2007 to O2010 you better don't install

the trial version on a productive system side-by-side. It may be

possible to later uninstall the upgrade to O2010 but I'd not do it

because some parts may not be correctly uninstalled and it could cause

problems later when you want to run O2007 again after the trial periode

epired.

 

If you want to run a trial install a virtual machine or virtual PC and

install and try it there. That's the more secure way to do it.
