Problem Opening .xej files located in the "Jobs" folder

    Question

  • I've been using Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 for about 2 weeks now and I've been happy with it up until the point where I've started editing videos. Everytime I record a video, it is saved as an .xesc file in the "Screen Capture Output" folder; however, if I edit the video and save it "As Job", (Which is the only format that I am able to save it in) the file is than changed into a .xej file and saved in the "Jobs" folder under my "Expression Encoder" folder.

Whenever I want to come back to editing the video, I double-click on the file or go into Microsoft Expression Encoder and click "Open Job" and it "theoretically" opens the file, but they're is no content. I have spent a large amount of time editing files only to lose all that work because of the Encoder's file format change.

What can I do to prevent this?
