Purpose of this Forum

Question

The purpose of this forum is to help software developers write applications for all versions of Windows (not just Vista).  It's not intended to be an end user forum for the Windows Beta Programs or a place where IT folks can find answers to administrative issues with Windows Vista. 

 

If you have questions about writing applications for Windows that don't neatly fit into any other Windows Development forum, this should be the place to get answers.

Hi Karin,

Are there any plans to start a separate forum for Windows Logo Kit & DTM issues?

Also, how about one for Windows Driver Development issues?

It would be a great time-saver, I don't want to waste time on searches, etc.

Hi Karin,

I have questions about:

• Development of Windows 8 Desktop/legacy apps.
• Windows 8 Desktop GUI

Is this the correct forum? All the Windows 8 specific forums appear to be for the Metro side.
