Azure Virtual Machine terminates session for no discernible reason

I am currently using the Azure Free Trial, and I created a Virtual Machine (Windows Server 2008).
On this VM, I created an ASP page which works fine. However, to process the client's input, it relies on an .NET application running on the machine which checks for inputs passed into a folder by the ASP page, creates the outputs, and places them in a folder for the ASP page to find (when it's finished) and pass back to the client (an image, in this case).
To get it running, I log into the VM with Remote Desktop (as Admin), start the .NET app, and then disconnect from the VM (without logging myself off as a user), which should leave the session, and any applications, up and running.
So far, this is usually all working fine... I can leave the VM in that state and occasionally visit that ASP site, provide some test input, and verify that I get my output. I have, so far, been able to have it all working correctly for several days at a time.
Here's my problem (finally): I recently found the ASP site was not returning the output, which meant the .NET app was not running. When I reconnected with Remote Desktop and logged in, I found that the session had been terminated, so the app was not running. I had to restart it.
Why would it terminate the session after a day or so? As Admin, my "Log off after" setting is "Never", and there are no other Users. Are there other circumstances that would automatically terminate a session? The .NET app is not very CPU or RAM intensive.

Arwind,
I took your advice and got this response
Virtual Machines are in preview(Beta) as of now and we are not that trained on this feature so I would request you to post you queries at forum support, where a dedicated Production team is working to answer your queries related to all Preview features.
https://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/support/preview-support/.
so, I am going to post a somewhat different version of this question to
Windows Azure Platform > Windows Azure – CTPs, Betas & Labs Forums > Windows Azure Virtual Machines for Windows
At this point I'm more interested in how many people have experience a similar problem.
thanks
