    Hi,

    i'm trying to delete a MailItem permanently, but in case of an imap account, i'm getting in trouble.

    If the user has configured his imap account, that deleted mails should be moved to trash, this also happens on MailItem.Delete(), so i cannot really delete it.
    In case of marking for deletion, i cannot purge the folder by code.

    Has anyone a solution for my problem?

    Hi Ranfty2000,

    Thanks for posting in the MSDN Forum.

    It's based on my experience that you issue is regard the IMAP server's setting. Please double check it.
