Cannot install VS 11; Closes Instantly

Question

Hello, I wanted to install Visual Studio 11, but a major issue came up.

I downloaded both the full DVD and the web install, but they will both show the "Visual Studio" box and then close right away when I click the installer EXE.

Windows 7 64 Bit; 6gb RAM; e8400; GTX 480;

Please help!

How are trying to run the ISO you downloaded? Did you mount it in virtual optical drive software or burn it to physical media?

Do you have SP1 for Windows 7 installed?

You can also try extracting the ISO content to your hard drive and then run vs_ultimate.exe.

I tried running it both ways, no avail.

I finally got tired of it (and GFW Live) not working, so I did a fresh windows install.
