    Hi.
During Lab Management configuration at Virtual Machine Manager tab I've testes SCVMM Server Name and it's passed. Other setting is passed and ok too.
But after click 'Ok' I received next message:
    ---------------------------
    Lab Management
    ---------------------------
The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------
By the way, I can connect to my SCVMM by remote admin SCVMM Admin Console and it seems everything ok.
What should I do to resolve this issue with Lab Management configuration?

    Hello

    1. Does closing and re-opening TFS Admin Console resolves the issue?
    2. Can you please look into the recent errors in TFS Logs, and share it? (From TFS Admin Console, there is a Logs option in the left side tree)

So, for the first - nope. There are no changes.

    So, for the second:

If I make 'test' for SCVMM Server Name I have:

I have no error recorsd on event log at TFS server as well as at SCVMM Server.
To be honest I have no ideas.

    Hi,

Can you try to run this from a PS shell and tell me if this succeeds

    [system.net.dns]::gethostbyaddress(<your scvmmserver ipaddress here>)

    Thanks

Make sure you are using the fully qualified domain name and not localhost.  Just ran into the same message when I used localhost instead of the FQDN.
