Updating a VSIX file

Question

I created a new Gallery entry yesterday and published my VSIX tool through it. Now today, I have made some updates to the tool and I want to load this new version to the gallery. I've tried Edit > Update, selected the changed VSIX file and then clicked Next (this simply clears the VSIX file from the file browser). I have updated the version number in the VSIX file. What am I doing wrong? How do I update the extension?

The assumption I am making here is that there I am a huge PEBKAC.

Just to be sure, You have to change the version number for your extenson, this is done by editing the source.extensions.vsixmanifest file.

ONce that is done and you have compiled it, it should be enough to double click on the new vsix file to update the installed version.
