    Hi,

    I added a control to display a field in our bug template. The field is populated by a plug-in so it is not read only but I don't want users to change it.

    When I Added it to the layout I specified that the control is read only. All is fine when viewing it in VS but in MTM the control is not read only.

    Anyone knows why or another way to do it?

    Hi,

    There is obviously a bug in the MTM that does not honors the ReadOnly flag for the layout control.

    One way to circumvent this behavior is to add the RULE for that field as READONLY. You can use that rule together with other rules and/or apply this rule for a specific TFS group.
