Respondida Not all test results in TFS_Warehouse

    Hello,

In TestResultView in TFS_Warehouse database I don't see test results for some builds. I have the emails about tests of those builds in my mailbox. And there is information about these builds in BuildDetailsView. But there is no information about tests for them in TFS database. And it's difficult to say why info for test results for some build has been saved in database, for others - has not.

Why did such thing happen, any ideas?

    Best regards,

    Elena

    Hi Elena,

    Thanks for your post.

In order to resolve this issue, I want to confirm some information with you:

1        Did you run all that test using Team Build?  If run that test manually, the result will not store in TFS Database.

2        If you run all the test using Team Build, only some your specific test cases(or in specific builds) can’t store in TFS_Warehouse, the random test cases can’t be stored in?

If you have any further research of this issue, please share your experience here.

    Hi John,

I just thought the fact that there are test results not for all builds in TFS_Warehouse related with retention policy for those builds. But as I can see there are more test results in database then it could be if it was related with retention policy. One more fact is that we use the Test Attachment Cleaner but this tool have to clean only test attachments, not test results from database.

The question is why test results for some builds have been disappeared from TFS_Warehouse?

All test have been run using TeamBuild

All tests results for some builds are absent in TFS_Warehouse ('build' I mean build with separate BuildName)

    Hi John,

It seems like the reason is the retention policy after all. Probably some extra values are from the moments when the policy was changed for current build definition.

    Thanks!
