help for installing sql server 2005 on server 2008 r2

I get this error error code :2 when installing sql 2005 enterprise on server 2008 sp2

When i install sql server 2005 enterprise on server 2008 sp2 i get this error:  (also both servers and tools are in same folder.

Please try open setup.exe file on different machine, if you are seeing same error message it hopes the issue with the setup file. (or) try with the another copy of setup.exe on the same machine.

i open on win 7 machine and it work, am gone try with different setup.exe

SQL 2005 installer does have some problems when installing on a server which does have .NET 3.5 SP1 installed or MSXML Core Services 6.0 Service pack 2 is already installed.

I would recommand to first install latest SQL Server 2005 Service pack - even if SQL 2005 is not installed - such that some support files are being updated and than try again the installation of SQL 2005.

If you've a slipstream version of SQL Server 2005 installation than you can try to use that as well.

Otherwise deinstall .NET 3.5 (SP1) feature in Windows Server 2008 if possible. Install SQL 2005 and than reenable the feature .NET 3.5 (SP1) again.

The fix for the issue with MSXML is described in the KB article mention above.

Sorry, problem was because when i create cluster group name was "service&app" , so no & are allow in cluster group name or some other symbols.
