SQL AlwaysOn ?

Hi all,
I have to sites (different subnets) and want to have a active/passiv SQL 2012 Setup with a easy way to failover.

I could build this with MS/SQL Cluster and shared disk.

But to avoid the SAN to be the single point of failure I'd like to build this with independent disk setup.

Is this possible with alwayson availability group and AG-listener ??

If yes, what are the OS requirements for this (does it still needs to have MS Cluster installed on both nodes ?)

You will need SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition running on Windows 2008 R2 SP1. There are some additional hot fixes which are required. You will need to configure Windows Clustering Service but do not need to configured any shared storage.
