Вопрос SQL Server 2012 Upgrade Cluster w SAN Error

I have a 2 node active/passive SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise cluster on W2008 R2. All data and logs are stored on an attached SAN. All works fine.

Started the upgrade install following the Upgrade Cluster instructions by upgrading the passive cluster node.

I have a failure of part of the install which appears to have started with the Reporting Services (native) section.

    The error I get is:

Failed to create new folder "path to the folder that exists on the SAN for the RS logs".  The specified path is invalid (for example it is on an unmapped drive).

(the error help fwlink to an article is a broken page BTW)

Since this is the passive node, of course the path would not be available to the SAN.

The kicker is that the instructions to correct the error are:

"to continue the upgrade process, use the following information to resolve the error. Next uninstall SQL Server by using the command line: setup /q /action=uninstall/instanceid=MSSQLSERVER /features=RS,SQLENGINE,FULLTEXT,REPLICATION,AS. Then run SQL Server setup again.

Any help would be appreciated as I don't think uninstalling is the right way to correct this.

    Thanks, Lon

Can you share the discovery report generated as result of running setup.exe /Action=RunDiscovery

Can you please elaborate how I am to do this?

As this is the upgrade of the passive cluster node, do you mean I should re-run the installation and not have it install the RS?

How do I then install RS as it appears it can only then be done on an active node? Is this then done in a second install session just for RS?

Wouldn't doing this remove the active node and therefore my SQL server from production use?

And when it is complete and I start on the then active node, I would install without RS the same way and then have to add RS in a second install session on the then passive node?

I have invested a lot of time and money geting the 2008R2 cluster working correctly and I can't afford to do this incorrectly or have the system down for a period of time.

Uninstall a feature like RS is not an option in the setup disc selections.

I have looked through Programs in control panel and the only option is to uninstall SQL Server 2012.

Upon getting to the screen where features can be uninstalled, the only options are for the removal of SSDT, Client Tools,IS,CT Backward Compat, MT and SQL CLient Conn SDK.

    So I am still stuck.
