Project server -TFS integration commands were run successfully, but work items and project plan tasks are not communicating each other

    Pregunta

  • Hi,

We have set up project server 2010 in Server A and TFS 2010 in Server B and run all the  integration commands successfully

I have followed http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg412642.aspx for the integration.

I got the project server tab in the work item type which is synchronized. Also I am getting 'Publish to Team Project' , Work Item Type (TFS) etc in Project.

    Software Used :

    TFS App Server

    Project Server App Server

    PM’s Machine

    TFS 2010 ,SP1

    Project Server 2010,SP1

    Project Professional 2010,SP1

    Visual studio 2010 Ultimate ,SP1

    Sharepoint 2010,SP1

    Visual Studio 2010,SP1

    TFS-Project Server Integration Feature Pack

Note: I did the Integration configuration and Project mapping from TFS server itself.

    Issue:

I created a new work item and updated 'Submit to Project server' as Yes and 'Enterprise project' as mapped project plan, but when I saved and refreshed, nothing is coming up in the Last submit status and Last submit date in Project server tab of the work item.

When I checked event viewer, getting the below:

    Source :TFS Sync Service

    Event ID : 9000

TF53010: The following error has occurred in a Team Foundation component or extension:

Also  I created a task in the mapped project plan using Microsoft Project 2010 and updated 'Publish to Team Project' as Yes and 'WorkItemType(TFS)' as a synchronized work item type name. and Published the project . But it is not reflecting in TFS work items query.

When I checked Queued jobs  in Managequeue Jobs page in PWA,  status of the job Reporting (Project Publish) is Waiting To be Processed and It is not getting processed.

Please help me to resolve this.

    Thanks, Lovely

  • I got it resolved.

I have cancelled all the pending jobs which were stuck and also gave administrative privilege to the application pool identity to the analysis service

    Thanks, Lovely

  • Hi Lovely, I'm glad this is now resolved for you. I'm not sure I completely understood what jobs did your cancelled (TFS jobs should not get stuck in general) and which account did you gave permission to which analysis service. It would be nice if you can share more details in case others run into similar issue.

  • Hi Lovely,

We are seeing the same issue. Can you please let me know how to cancel the jobs which are stuck and where to give the permissions.

    Waiting for your response.

    Thanks,

    Praveen.
