  • IIS is serving you a HTML error page - which obviously not what you expect to be returned from a web-service (i.e. XML).

As web-services tend to return FAULT messages, which are of type XML this error would imply that your Sharepoint site/services is not configured correctly.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be enough information in your post to assist you in exactly what is wrong with your Sharepoint server.

If this is helpful or answers your question - please mark accordingly.
Because I get points for it which gives my life purpose (also, it helps other people find answers quickly)

  • Hi Alastair,

My sharepoint service was installed on a machine but with a unfortunate crash, i need to reinstall everything. After installing sharepoint services and all the triggers on SharePoint site (created in Infopath form). Triggers are working fine but biztalk is not able to pick the file created via Sharepoint trigger. Instead of this, biztalk starts giving the above warning messages and after some messages biztalk automaticlly stops the WSS ports.

I want to get rid of these warnig messages and let the biztalk start consuming tirgger files.

    Thanks

    Dinesh

  • Hi,

In my case it was an issue of 32 bit vs 64 bit configuration.

SharePoint services was installed as 64 bit but BizTalk was a 32 bit installation.

What I had to do was to set the 'Enable 32-bit applications' property of the Application pool of the web service application (BTSharePointAdapterWS) to false.

    Regards
