Searching an RDF Triple Store

We have a client that is building a metadata repository on semantic web technologies. It is likely right now they will deploy their repository in an RDF (resource definition framework) triple store. Actual digital content will be stored and kept in SharePoint's repository and linked to the RDF database via some type of GUID or URI or similar link. We'd like to steer the client in the direction of initiating ALL searches via Enterprise Search, and include the RDF database as a "source". Has anyone tried this yet and if so, how did you do it? What pieces did you have to build?

I may be stating the obvious, but have you looked at the implementation of the Microsoft Interactive Media Manager and their RDF API's and interfaces to Sharepoint?
