Office Live Business Applications - Default page does not show correctly in Sharepoint Designer

Question

I have setup a Office Live Business Applications, just with one dashboard.

From Sharepoint Designer 2007, when I select the default.aspx, I do not see the page but with "Shellcontainer" being displayed.

At least you don't get an error that "ShellContainer is not registered"... lol

But yeah, otherwise, I got the same issue as you do.

I'm not usually one with MS conspiracy theories, but I have a feeling MS is intentionally crippling and castrating the Office Live Business Applications functionality so that it doesn't compete with it's hosted Sharepoint services via Microsoft Online Services - which, by the way is super-expensive at nearly $10 a user MONTHLY!


I understand that MS would want to charge for this functionality, but offering AND promoting it to developers for nearly 2 years - then squishing the platform - is just a slap in the face.


Anyhoo, let's hope I'm just being reactionary, and Business Applications is still around for years to come (even in its ghetto 2-app template state).

And here's also hoping some MSFT person actually answers our questions :D
