Hi,
If you have the .NET Framework 3.5 beta 2 installed, you will not be able to uninstall the .NET Framework 2.0 or 3.0 because 3.5 depends on it. You will need to uninstall 3.5, then you can uninstall 3.0, and after both of them are uninstalled, you can uninstall 2.0.
Please note that the 2.0 SP1 and 3.0 SP1 packages are slipstreamed packages, and you cannot uninstall only the SP1 bits. You have to uninstall the full package and then re-install the original release of 2.0 and/or 3.0 if you need to remove the service pack bits for some reason.
Thanks! Aaron

- Awesome, It worked for me. Thanks a mil Aaron.
Kalyan: I am experiencing the exact problem you had and Aaron's advice is awesome. My question is do we need these NET packages at all? I don't know where they came from. I just installed Microsfot 2007 and had 2.0 and then it prompted me to upgrade to 3.0. What happens if I uninstall all of them. I don't understand what they are for. I am running VERY low on space and need to remove programs. These seem to be HUGE
- i have the same question whether i really need this .NET stuff at all. i don't run more than one computer and have no intention of doing so any time in the future. i'm not a developer, and need to free up some space.
thanks
deanna
