Microsoft Flight Simulator X and MSXML4 sp2
-
Monday, January 03, 2011 9:40 PMI downloaded and installed the Microsoft Flight Simulator X (wanting to purchase it) but cannot get it to run. After install and when I push the game button on the disktop, I receive a message that MSXML4 SP2 compenent is missing. I have downloaded it from MS download and even the updates to no avail. Can anyone tell me what I might do - I really want to puchase the full version but want to make sure it will run. I have a Compaq with a huge hard drive and meets all the system requirements.

The issue could occur when msxml4.dll isn't get updated properly by a Windows Update. Depending on the number of Updates you installed on the PC, the process to clean up cound be quite complex. Try search the Windows forums on answers.microsoft.com using the keyword "MSXML4".
