Reading .xml files while writing to .xml file from different application

Question

I am writing to a xml file using webservice and simultaniously I want to read the same xml file. I am getting "The process cannot access the xml file because it is used by another process"

Are you using the XML file simply as a pipeline or buffer between the two processes?

Pleae expand on your scenario a bit, so we can be sure it is the corrct approach for your situation.
