Windows Explorer.exe Uses Excessive Memory

Question

My explorer.exe indicates 400M of usage when viewed in task manager.  Can anyone explain what I can do to remedy this?  I don't think that it should be using this much.  I am running Windows7 Home Premium.  If I remember correctly, it used to use only about 25-35M.
