Unanswered Xbootmgr Unable to start Trace

    Formerly I had no troubes running xbootmgr.  I've been trying to diagnose an issue where it takes 5 minutes to resume from sleep after the computer is left in sleep mode for many days.   I've been trying today to run xbootmgr, but only get errors.

    I even downloaded the lastest Windows 8 SDK and tried running xbootmgr from that (am using Win 7 64bit Ultimate):

    xbootmgr -trace standby -traceFlags BASE+CSWITCH+DRIVERS+POWER -resultPath C:\TEMP

    or sometimes

    xbootmgr -trace standby -traceFlags BASE+CSWITCH+DRIVERS+POWER -resultPath C:\BootTrace

    This used to work just fine.

    I wonder if one flag is having a hard time. Try just using BASE. I know the DRIVERS one has issues sometimes.

    Base seems to work, but like I said, the complete chain was working a few weeks ago.

    I don't know how I can diagnose things without the complete trace.

    Also, the only time it takes minutes to wake from sleep is if the computer has been asleep for many hours, or the lid has been closed and the computer asleep.

    Hibernate is disabled, so it is not waking from hibernation.
