Account Renewal Emails

On 12/5/2012 we began sending communication to those developers whose account had expired since
August. These notifications are to inform you that your account is ready for renewal and that you have 60-days from the date of the email to renew your subscription. If you do not renew right away, you will get another email reminder in 30 days. If you do not renew within the 60-days, your account will be canceled. Any published apps you have in the Store will be un-published. So please make sure to renew your subscription today to prevent any negative impact to your account and published apps.If you have recently renewed your account since August and still received an email renewal notice, this was an error. Please disregard and accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
To renew your account, sign in to Dev Center and go to your Dashboard. Under message there will be a link to the renewal process.
Thanks for your patience,
Tamara

Tamara, I got this email yesterday but there's no way to renew my account at all...
I went into the Dashboard like you said, and all I see under Messages is this:
"Account: Your account info is up-to-date."
There's no link to renew the subscription. There aren't any links anywhere on the whole website... The email message could also be better written in the future. It simply says, "To purchase a new subscription, go to Windows Phone Dev Center." Those are very vague instructions! There's a ton of stuff on Dev Center! Where do we go to renew?
(Note: I'm a college student and registered as a developer for free... maybe that's why I'm not seeing the renew link? Even so, how am I supposed to renew?)
Thanks! It would be horrible if my account closed... :(Edit: For fellow students like myself, this thread helps: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wpregister/thread/43c10115-6711-440c-9764-f5e978c259d9 However, DreamSpark seems like something is messed up, it's not finding my account anywhere. I contacted DreamSpark's support, so you can ignore my message Tamara, it looks like it's a problem with them.

I'm sure with the computing power available to us these days, we could have the emails only sent to those who actually need renewing. If you have recently renewed your account since August and still received an email renewal notice, this was an error. Please disregard and accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi Tamara,
I went to try and renew my subscription but the only option it gives me is to enter a "Promo Code". There is no option to pay by credit card. I don't have a "Promo Code".
Thanks!
Daniel

I understand the 99$ fee when signing up, since there's an identity verification process, why you have to pay again to renew is beyond me.
You don't have to copy everything Apple does.

Hello,
I got this email too and searched for any support email but I can't find it on the whole site so I write in this forum...
Anyway, the button not appeared at my message area. I registered in august and ordered a year subscription so I realy confused about this message from microsoft. What I should do to avoid the cancelation?.
In the mail I can see that the apps which I puplished will be removed after canceling of my account. I thougth that they would still be available? Did I missunderstand this behavior? Can I refresh the apps after I would reactivate my account after it was deactivated?
What to do now?

I received the e-mail this morning. The expiration date of my Dev Center account was set to yesterday! I renewed my account one month ago. Fortunately, my Microsoft account says the expiration date is set for November 2013. My Dashboard says:
Messages
Account
Your account info is up-to-date.There is no link to the renewal process. That is correct! I have already renewed!
I really hope this issue be solved ASAP. It is frustrating read threads like these:

I paid $99 TWO MONTHS ago. And in my dashboard it says
Expiration
12/6/2012
Why? How do I fix this? Does the subscription last two months? Please explain or give me an real person email address to whom I may address my issue.
Thanks,

Monday, December 10, 2012 4:20 AMI have a similar issue. I renewed a few months ago, and the Microsoft Billing sites says I have a subscription through 2013, yet my Account Dashboard says that my sub expires (or expired) on 12-6-2012. Something is wrong here, I even got an account renewal email on the 6th. It appears my subscription is still active though. What's going on?

Dear Tamara,
I received yesterday and email to inform me that my Windows Phone Dev Center account expires after 60 days.
In august I renewed my subscription and payed the required amount.
I can send if you want the necessary screenshots.
Could you please check what went wrong.
Thanks in advanced

I have the same issue as above. I paid full fee on 9 September 2012, and my account (still) shows expiry 6 December 2012, and have now also received the email as described by Tamara above.
Can Someone from MS please update my account details correctly !

If your expiration date changed (even though you had an active subscription) don't worry - this will automatically update to reflect the right date.

I am trying to enter my token, which I got a few months before, in the promo-field to renew my account.
But I am getting the error: "This doesn’t appear to be a valid promo code. Make sure you’ve entered it correctly and try again."
I entered it correctly and I am shure, it was not used before - so perhaps there might be a difference between promo code and token? So my question is: where may I enter the code of a token I got from Microsoft and which should renew my account for one year?
Thank you for your help and best greetings from Germany.

I haven't received any emails. But when I was trying to deploy an app to my before unlocked developer phone it said my phone was locked. So I logged in and noticed that my account status said expired.
I haven't received any email reminding me, and I believe I renewed not too long ago! I used to be registered by dreamspark. I then paid $99 dollars. And now it says it's expired again, which maybe is possible but I can't find any link to renew with creditcard it only gives me an option to do it through dreamspark again.
I'm not a student anymore so I'm not signed up with dreamspark anymore.
Went into my commence.microsoft.com account and says it's cancelled for some reason. Can't renew it from there either :/
Also my apps are still published so i'm not sure what's going on....
Cheers
