Application - WPF app, Pages mode in IE9. Developing in C# - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 with all updates, VS 2010 Ultimate with all updates.
Since Windows Update processed a batch of new updates overnight (13/5/2012), both my development PC's have started to display the error message "Publisher cannot be verified - are you sure you want to run this application? - Run/Don't Run button - this appears twice!! one straight after the other - very odd.
Runing the app in full trust mode, so these messages should not appear!!
Have checked the obvious, IE settings etc, VS2010 settings - all seems ok. Tried all the fixes I could find on the internet - didn't help.
I had this problem with Windows 8 and VS11 as soon as I installed it on another PC 2 months ago - could not find a solution to it but wasn't too concerned as it as beta code, but seems it has migrated to W7 ands VS2010 in IE9!!
This is going to drive me mad, having to press 'Run' twice ever time I run the app!! Help!!

Yes, it is a WPF 'page' browser based application - IE9 is being called by VS2010 to run a 'xbap' in full trust mode.

You can log one ticket into http://connect.microsoft.com/intro/, someone could verify this is one bug or not.
If you just want to solve this issue, Open IE, Tools Menu->Internet Options->Security Tab->Click "Custom Level" Button-> Enable "Launching applications and unsafe files"

Jacky,
I changed these settings before I logged thios issue, however, for completness, followed you method but this had no effect on the problem, even though I had complaints for the OS about having an unsafe IE configuration. To re-iterate, this issue is a new issue brought about by the most recent Windows Updates, on more than one PC and other users with the same problem.
As requested, I will post on http://connect.microsoft.com/intro/,
Regards, Chris
