word 2010 - line between spaces becomes larger !

Word 2010

Type some letters - then type Space-Line-Space ( - ) and again some letters, and press Enter.

Why the line between spaces becomes larger?

The same happens in a table, when I press TabKey, to move to another cell. Line between spaces becomes larger !

What is the way to stop this.

This is an AutoCorrect setting.

Select File > Options.

Click Proofing.

Click AutoCorrect Options...

Activate the AutoFormat As You Type tab.

Clear the check box "Hyphens (--) with dash (–)".

Click OK twice.
