What is it you want to do that people referred you to the forum?
Basically, we cover anything here that has to do with working with the Word APIs...

Thursday, September 20, 2012 12:19 AMSo I have a program made of Windows Form Application C#. It scans documents put into a RichTextBox and highlights certain words on lists. I could only open RTF documents. Is there a way to make a similar program as like a plugin for word?

Hi Tyler
I'm not sure I completely understand what you're asking. Do you mean, can you display and manipulate (highlight) the content of Word documents in a control on a Windows Form?
Sort of... You can open Word documents in a Web Browser Control (as I recall, this is an AxControl type, meaning COM). It will insist on displaying the application UI (Ribbon). If you search the VSTO forum you should find a few discussions and code samples, dating back a few years. I think Betty Zhao was involved, a moderator who's no longer on these forums, but it might have been Tim Li...

As I said, search the VSTO forum. For example

Hi Tyler,
Thank you for posting in the MSDN Forum.
In order to open a word document, you'll need to use Documents.Open Method. You can refer to this page for detailed description.
You can start from here to see Word development related pages.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
