I don't know about the extensibility or "digestible" Api. Word is the standard document creating tool in the business world and there is no shortage of ad ins. I already have 2007 so cost is not an issue and something costing more or less does not make it better or worse but I would expect more development targeted for paying customers. Is the spell check/grammar function better in live writer or word?(example)  I want to say cutting out of writer and pasting into word found things writer missed.

Anyway I wrote that a long time ago and my solution is to write into word and then paste into writer. It would be better if the blog connection in word was as good as live writer but not that big of a deal.
