    Hello,

I'm currently having a problem with Windows Live Messenger and my webcam.

At the moment, My cam is running fine when I use it with people, they can see me fine and I can see them fine.
But for one particular person, We send the invitations, We accept, but then it hangs when it says Webcam loading..But then after that, It just says Webcam Session Has Ended.

    And that's it.
No error codes, No messages. Nothing.

Has anyone else got this problem, and has anyone been able to fix it?

    Thanks.
    Matt

Does the other person can have webcam conversations with other contacts?

    Yeah.

We can both go on cam to other people, but when we try it to each other...it doesn't work.

    Hi,

I am stuck with the same problem you had a few months ago

how did you exactly solve this issue?

Reformatting? may is assume you refer to a clean install of windows?

    thanks in advance

I am having an unusual problem w/Windows Vista SP2.
Before installing SP2 when I used Windows Live Messenger with a video call I could see myself and the other person in my local window.

Now I can only see them. The video window on my side does not show my webcams video.

The other party can see their local webcam video and my webcam video.

Is anyone else having this problem.

    Just began after installing SP2.

Iam not using the english version but gonna try to translate how i fixed the problem.

sometimes i'm having the same problem with different users when trying to make a video call.

i dont know if it will work for you but when i have problem i do:

    Tools -> Options

at the "personal" tab there is an option: "Give permission to others see my webcam"  (or something like this)

i'm only changing the confuguration (its not matters if its ticked or no) of this option, and it works for me.. maybe you'll try..
