Unable to login to Windows Messenger 8

Question

 

Have been running Windows Messenger for years.....am now on version 8.

Then last week .....it suddenly stopped signing me in.   It has not given me a failed login message, it simply leaves the green and blue bodies spinning for hours on end. 

I can still access hotmail from internet explorer. 

The service report says it is running and stable.

Any ideas?

Yes...can someone please explain what this problem is and how to fix it.  I have been having this problem for a week now and its driving me insane.

I have the same problem with one of my computers. If I use my account on another computer Live Messenger works as it should. My guess is that we downloaded some security update that screwed up our computers.....

 Kept on searching and found solution for me. I ran the .reg file and now it works.

still the same problem... :\ i got this problem 2 i have uninstlaled etc.. but all other msn's work when i log in using my email
