This forum is for people who are interested in the new Web platform for interacting with Windows Live Messenger users.  We cover both API and Web controls – these include the Windows Live Presence API and the Windows Live Messenger IM Control that were launched in November.

We invite you to post questions as well as any topics of interest related to using and developing with Windows Live Messenger Web platform.

Please stay tuned as we post news updates and links to resources for engaging Windows Live Messenger users on the Web.

We look forward to hearing from you!

I regularly use Windows Live Messenger. I think in the next version upgrade, msn should really develop an 'invisible contacts list', just like icq had one before.
It's like a list where u put in all the people (contacts) u like, and when ur in invisible mode, only those people (contacts) in that list can see u online. It is better than blocking ppl,as when u need to block one person, u have to block a whole bunch of people thats related to them, which may pose unnecessary embarrassment.
Also, in its current form, when u suddenly realise u need to speak to the blocked person, u have to unblock a whole bunch of ppl before messaging or chatting to them. Many of my friends also want this function which is useful for group study, sharing assignment ideas, discussing projects etc and dont want other people to distract or interrupt the group conversation.

While this this forum is forum is intended for Live Messenger Web Platform and not the desktop client, we do appreciate the feedback :-)

    Thanks,
