    Hi
The search control in the contactlist does not find my application contacts when I have set application(site) specific displaynames via the <msgr:app-contact display-name property, however when I search with the msn default display-name(which is hidden) it´s finding it, however the idea of this application contacts concept it to hide(keep secret) the msn display-name for users who are not msn buddies that means that the search control need to be able to find site specific display-names as well.

Is this a bug in the search control or is there a way to get around this limitation?

    Best Regards
    Tommy

    Hi Tommy,

Application Contacts can be be blocked, but only temporarily (until the session ends). Were you expecting the application contacts to still be blocked when the user signs out and signs back in again later?

We're looking into the issue and will get back to you. On the surface, this appears to be a bug in our search control.

    Thanks,

    Hi again,

I have found another issue regarding overriding display-name with site specific displaynames. Blocking of such application contacts does not seem to work.

    Is this another bug?

I´m just a day away from releasing my msn integration solution on a major community site.

When can I expect a solution for this problems?

    Best Regards
    Tommy
