How can I access the Windows Live Messenger or Mail client's local contacts

Question

I want to retrieve and modify the Windows Live Messenger or Mail's contacts from its local place, not from web service.  I googled it but all results is for retrive them from Live service.
Is there any solution for it?

When you say local place, are you referring to contacts in in live messenger's local cache in machine?

I dont know :).

It is possible if Live Messenger team is exposing APIs /Methods for the same.

Thea above link is not direct resolution. But see if you get some method exposed in the project so that you can retrieve the contacts.
