server 2008 error code 0x80070003 when installing

I receive this error code while attempting to install server 2008 trial. I am running an Asus A8n-32SLI mobo with Corsair 2GB DDR-400 2-3-3-6 CAS, a 4 disk RAID 5 array with Seagate ES 320GB SATA drives, a mirrored array with an Encore controller with 2 WD 160GB RE server class drives, an Athlon X2 4800 CPU, an ASUS EN6200 graphics adapter, a PC Power and Cool 610w PSU.

Granted, it is not a server mobo; however it installs Server 2003 fine. I have to install the Encore drivers via USB drive for 2008; the RAID drivers for the nVidia chipset are already there.

I get partway thru the instal where the screen tells me the files are expanding. My partition on the mirrored array is 150GB.

server 2008 error code 0x80070003 when installing. Cannot install server 2008.

Doesn't give a reason why, just spits out this error code. I can't find anything on the knowledge base that can help me.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
© 2009 Microsoft Corporation. I'll just keep playing with it.

Vista Business x64 used to blue screen on me during installing Windows updates after installing the OS. Once I installed SP1 the problem went away.

Be great if I could grab a log or a setup file so I can see where in the process it's taking a dive. So early in the installation I don't have a GUI to view anything and will have to install the Recovery Console.

Fri, 24 Oct 2008 23:00:18 Z2008-10-24T23:00:18Z
