    Hi,

The application is required to Copy a folder(test) which contains some .doc files and .err files under path(c:\Test) as prerequisite so that while installation the application uses these files for configuration. But all the application installation files are installing in "C:\programfiles\(applicationfolder)\"

Is this is acceptable in windows server 2008 certification.

Note:And after uninstallation also these files won't be deleted.

    Regards,

    Satyam

    Hi,

As per the Test Case 2.5.1 NOTES 1, the application must only install “by default” to a subdirectory of Program Files or the user’s AppData directories in order to pass this test case. So I believe this is acceptable.

    Hope the above helps.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for your answer.I had one more doubt on this, what about the folder which we are copying in c:\(Directory) as Prerequisite for the application. As my understanding as that folder is prerequisite we can leave this folder .Please validate my understanding whether correct or not?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

You can apply for a waiver here with the necessary details. The waiver submission form is available at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=111703. You need to fill this form and send it to wslogofb@microsoft.com

However waivers are subject to review by the program team and will be approved against sufficient reasons.

    Thanks.
