Customize Installer based on Computer Name

Question

I have built an installer with custom app.config files. I know how to install a particular app.config file based on user input, (i.e. use user input as a condition for a particular file), but is there a way to retrieve the hostname of the computer at install time and then use that as a condition? My goal is to have an unattended set up.

Hi Michael,
I’m not sure exactly what you want to do. However, ComputerName is a common Windows Installer property that can be used in conditions.
