Answered ClickOnce Update - System Cannot find file specified

    Doing ClickOnce update by building new app version to a folder on my devel machine, then clicking the .application file. ClickOnce seems to be doing OK, but terminates with "cant find file specified" error (see below).  Of course it doesn't want to disclose what file it can't find.

    I guess I can uninstall and rerun from scratch, but this seems crazy.  Any suggestions?

    Hi dickey38.

    Try clean clickonce cache folder and reinstall the clickonce application again.

    To Windows Vista and Windows 7, the folder is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

    Thanks for advice.

    I think (hope) my problem was caused by an icon pointer outside my project Resources folder. It sure would be nice if the error info included the name of the missing file.
