How to update combobox items (datagrid)

Question

I have a picklist that resides within the vb.NET code block. The problem is the list needs to be periodically updated and I was looking for solutions that can help me achieve this. My first option is to create an excel template that will allow users to add new combobox items. the other option create a datagrid view that displays all the current item and if users want to add a new item, they would have create a new record.

Any suggestions?

Could you please give more information about your question?
What do you mean by PickList here? Do you mean Picklist in Mircosoft Dynamics CRM?
Is the list should be periodically updated or updated by user?
I’m not sure what do you mean by excel template here, could you explain?
