Unanswered .tmp' is not a valid Win32 resource file

    when i set icon for my exe file from the property of my project, in Resources panel, and when i run program from Visual studio start debugging option a following error occurred, but when i run program from my exe file error didn't occurred.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Baba's\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\task\task\obj\Debug\CSC9B8.tmp' is not a valid Win32 resource file

    but when i change option to (Default Icon), this error dispose

    Hi Jahanzeb,

    Could you please try to close the project , delete the obj and bin folder under the project folder?

    Does it work now?

    If the issue is still not solved, could you please send your project or a demo to me(v-bobwu@microsoft.com)?

    Hi,

    I am also getting the same error even after the following the instruction by Bob. What I noticed is at the time of build process, a file CSC933D.TMP created and will be deleted later the build process.
