A particular tool (maven, as it were) created a file in a source code directory.  The file name is 'C:\RootEntity'.  It is NOT in the C: directory, that syntax is part of the file name.  How on earth can I delete this file?  Can't rename it, move it, and it has no 8.3 name, so I am at a loss.

I am sure the Windows Forms programming group is the wrong forum for this.  That said, if you can see the file in Windows Explorer, you should, with permission, be able to delete it.
