    Hi,

    First i like to thank you all for the cool sideshow PPC (mobile 2005) plugin for Vista MCE.
    All is working, accept the Now playing info on my PPC. That's a shame, because I have manualy shutdown VMCE( 1 week old Smile) and disconnct from Bt.
    Is there a reason/solution for this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi, thanks for using SideShow for Windows Mobile!

    To clarify your situation - all the other Media Center gadgets work besides Now Playing?  What do you see in the Now Playing gadget (page not available, media center is off, nothing is playing)? Why do you have to manually shut down media center and disconnect from Bluetooth - does disconnecting and reconnecting cause it to start working?

    What version of Vista are you using, and what language?

    Thanks,

    Toby

    Hi, thanks for the reply,

    I'm using the dutch home premium.

    The problem is that you can only stop (the current playing) through the now playing gadget. And when its showing nothing (accept page not available, also now playing is not working working in WMP, but here you can stop playing) i cannot stop Vista mce, for example foto-slideshow or tv etc. If I don't disconnect from Bt, it starts up every time after I have shutdown mce. I also get an error at startup, if you give me an emailadress i'll send it to you (.jpg)

    I hope you understand the problem

    Grtz

    Hello,

    Are you using the RTM or Beta version of the Gadgets?

    If you are using the Beta version, please upgrade to our RTM version and see if this solves the issues:

    Media Center Gadgets (32-bit version)

    Media Center Gadgets (64-bit version)

    Thank you very much!

    We have seen the IndexOutOfRange exception occur on some newer phones with high resolution screens.  What type of phone do you have?

    Thanks,

    Toby

    We have seen this issue before on phones with large screens like the HTC Touch HD.  Does this happen with all gadgets?  I do not know of any workaround, unfortunately - this looks like a bug in our code which we will have to address in subsequent releases of the software.

    Thanks,

    Hello Toby.

    I have the same issue like Steve Cox with my Touch HD.
    I am in Germany and just want to show some presence with my note here, that there are also users from overseas in the old world!!! Please make this Sideshow thing happen  :-) for users of High End Technology. The wide mass of users is most frequently supported, but heavy users like us are lost most time and need to hack or recompile stuff to make things work.

    I count on you and look forward to take control of my Vista and W7 PC remotely from the sunny balcony with my Touch HD.

    Kind regards
    Marcus

    Hello everybody,

    I also recieve the IndexOutOfRangeException on every "List" page in every Gadget. Here are the first few StackFrames of the stacktrace:

    Microsoft.AuxiliaryDisplay.Shel.VirtualListBox.VirtualListBox_paint()
    System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnPaint()
    System.Windows.Forms.Control.WnPRoc()
    System.Windows.Forms.Control._InternalWnProc()
    ....

    I'm using Windows 7 RC german. My Phone is a HTC Touch HD with WinMobile 6.1 Pro. Current used gadets are MediaCenter-Gadget 32bit (RTM) and Twitter-Gadget.

    Please provide any support to fix this issue.

    Kind Regards
    Toni

    Toni,

    The Windows Media Center gadgets are not supported on Windows 7.  They only work on Windows Vista.

    Okay it works maybe on Windows Vista. Even that I wonder it was working on my W7RC, but anyway.
    My main problem is that plugin for Windows Mobile is not working. Like Toby, Steve and myself can prove. We all got the IndexOutOfRange exception problem.

    Dan, can you please be so kind and keep us posted as soon as you get something that could be even look like a solution? There are more and more 480x800 devices released and I am pretty sure this is a market of users that you don't want to miss...

    Thx so much
    Marcus

    Keep me updated as well, i'm looking forward to test updates for those MCE gadgets with 7RC
    (I'm using 7RC English build 7100 with a TyTN2(WM6.5))

    The Media Player works well!

    Thanks, Geoffrey
