Friday, March 02, 2012 5:59 AMIn Windows 8 Consumer Preview, the sound events for 'Exit Windows', 'Windows Logon', 'Windows Logoff' have been removed. WHY? Why not just disable them (assign no sounds by default?). Why does Microsoft take away customization and think they know what's best for users?? I want the sound events back! I have filed a bug via the Send Feedback Tool. Please return these three sound events to Windows 8 by RC/RTM or I will be very disappointed.

I re-enabled the sound events in the Registry, but they do not play. I was expecting that though.
