Unanswered why can't we choose upgrade instead of only custom?

    When I install Longhorn beta, the only option that i can install is CUSTOM while the other one (UPGRADE) is disabled...

    I want to upgrade because Longhorn will dump my program files into windows.old folder!

    You can only upgrade from certain points to certain points.  Typically you see this ability at milestone builds.  The reason it is disabled is this senario isn't tested thoroughly until milestone builds.

    so if you are on XP then you should see upgrade with the beta1 build...
