Decklink application suggestion

Question

I am a novice in directshow and would like to see the possibility of creating an application with such function:

1. Capture a video from a Decklink card
2. overlay some text, graphics or animation on top of the video source
3. output the mixed frame to the Decklink card

Can these be done with Decklink SDK + direcshow?

Have you already checked Decklink samples? I am pretty sure they provide a sample very similar to provided description, because it's a typical use scenario.
