How to make Google as default search engine in IE 10
-
Saturday, September 17, 2011 1:08 AMI recently installed the Windows Developer Preview, but when I try to change the default search engine in IE, it only says that I can have Bing, Ebay and something else. Google search is listed as an accelerator. If I add that, I cannot search on Google through the address bar. Any ideas??? (I guess I can't really blame Microsoft for this, because it is supposed to be a buggy version. But it should get fixed.)

Saturday, September 17, 2011 1:51 AMGoogle already was the default for me. Perhaps it imported this setting from IE9 from Windows 7. I remember it was a simple change in IE9.
Sorry i cannot be of more help.- Edited by CylonB Saturday, September 17, 2011 2:24 AM

IE 10 doesn't include any other search providers. (Under "Manage Add Ons"). The IE 9 ones work though. Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/searchguide/en-en/default.mspx and install whichever ones you want to add.
